OBJECTIVE:

FAA DER Consultant in approving the major repair data & recommendation of approval of PMA design data of turbine Engine components for a FAA repair station (In issuing of FAA Form 8110-3 approval).

To provide Technical support in cost effective repair development of engine, Powerplant EBU's, Nacelle, Thrust reversers, landing gear and aircraft components for MRO's. Specialist in Materials engineering covering metallic and composite repairs of structures for Aircraft MRO's.

To provide work scope for cost effective engine maintenance shop visit and shop visit analysis of turbine engines.

To provide training to MRO staff in 'FAA/JAA regulations and DER repairs and PMA Parts approvals' covering PART 33/21/25 and repair station Part 43/145 regulations.

    • Doubler repair of PW4168 engine aft bulkhead T-cap of Intake Cowl assembly –Aluminum alloy extrusion for Pratt & Whitney approval
    • Carbon composite patch repair of PW4168 translating cowl assembly for BF Goodrich OEM approval
    • Repair development of Engine bearing compartment heat shields and thrust reverser thermal blankets/fire protection heat shields of MD-11/A330 and B737NG Aircrafts for submittal to BF Goodrich and Boeing OEM approvals.

    • Designing major repairs for tubes, hoses and pipes for CF34, JT15D, CF6-50/80C2 Powerplants for JAR approval.
    • Currently working on a landing gear components HVOF spraying to replace chrome plating and general surface engineering repair of regional aircraft Embrear, Bombardier and Cessna citation aircraft landing gears with KRAUSS GmbH Company in Berlin.

Coordinated between flight operations, line maintenance and engine shop to collect performance data of the fleet consisting of DC-10, B-747/737/707 and Airbus A300. The program consisted of in-flight condition trend monitoring of GE-CF6/CFM56 and P&W- JT9D/JT3D engines. The ECTM data was used to assess hardware condition, performance improvement, and increase service life of the critical parts. The program increased the engine MTBR and reduced the fleet dollar operating cost (DOC) by 10%.

Responsible for quality control functions including Receiving, NDT, Dimension and In-process inspection. Managed technical publications and engine records. Interfaced with FAA, CAA and local regulatory agencies regarding issues pertaining to quality assurance and airworthiness of the engines.
